Islam is an architect, urban designer, and educator. Embracing a comprehensive and humane design philosophy, committed to architecture that supports and enhances communities. Having worked on such a diversity of projects he was awarded the following:

  • 2015 Middle East Young Architect of the year in Dubai, UAE

  • Outstanding individual of the year in ME consultants

  • 2016 World Architecture Festival international competition

  • Top 40 power list architects in the Middle East for four years in a row.

  • ME AIA honor award for his design to Egyptian science city in 2017
    He won the second place on shelter global design competition
    for his project shelter on the edge - from camps to cities: case Syria

  • 2018 he collaborated with Mouaz abou zaid to curate the Egyptian national pavilion – Venice biennale
